As a State Certified General Appraiser in the Burrville branch office territory, you will be accountable for the accurate and timely completion of evaluations and appraisals of real and personal property in accordance with FCA, CoBank and Farm Credit East appraisal regulations and policies, and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). The Appraiser is also responsible for performing reviews of appraisals, accurately completing environmental inspections, developing and maintaining “benchmark” farms, collecting auction and market information values, staff appraisal training, and other duties as assigned. You will work closely with other branch staff members and Farm Credit East customers, and effective communication skills are critical.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Finance or a related field. If the successful candidate does not already have a state general appraisal certification, it must be obtained within 3 years of hire. This position requires the ability to travel throughout the branch and Farm Credit East territory as needed.
