As a Mortgage Assistant you will be responsible for working as a member of a cross-functional team focused on coordinating with vendors, attorneys and co-workers, monitoring systems and managing multiple deadlines. Specific responsibilities include performing credit investigations and verifications on applicants which may include public records searches, credit bureau reports, employment and income verification and asset and liability information. You will also accurately key and adjust verified customer information and prepare loan packages for review and action by Mortgage Specialists or Loan Underwriters.
The Cooperstown, NY branch is located in a rural area with urban amenities conveniently located nearby.
Credit Support: Gather customer information, perform credit verifications, prepare documents, monitor consumer compliance, enter data and organize files. Employee will work as a member of a cross-functional team, focused on providing loans
of high quality and value to customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Will train, experience in the residential mortgage industry preferred
Teamwork: Assist Country Living team and Farm Credit East in meeting its goals and objectives through effective teamwork and cooperation. Promote open and constructive communications and the attitude of “What can I do to help you?"
Must be team oriented, customer-focused, and have strong interpersonal skills. Must be organized and creative.
